I have little to no recollection of playing or recording Yes Men in the studio with the band-nice surprise to hear it here! It actually sounds ok too so wonder why we never performed it live…?

Oh, nice archive by the way. When will the Speakeasy and From the Forty Second stuff be here too ;)

i stand by those names, especially From the Forty Second… the guy on the Mexican plane thought it was good…

what tracks come under those auspices?

Under those two previous incarnations the mighty, and oft-requested but rarely played ‘Night Places’ was created. Oh, and do you remember ‘On the Defence’…a classic that wasn’t, as the name implies, about a particular tactic employed regularly and with little success by the Scottish national football team. Can’t remember what is was about actually, as I think you wrote it…..? Lennon and McCartney must have had similar issues. Also, we must not forget all the songs we recorded in the Lawnmarket on the 8 track…think I have the tape somewhere. They, however, will have to remain hidden for some time yet…the world just isn’t ready….

It’s so good to hear all the old classics in one place. Liking Yes Men, totally should have sung that one live.

    Thanks for the memories x
